Here is my classic hand wind zero jewelled made in Great Britain (Scotland to be precise). If you have read my previous blog on the Lanco Autolub then you will know I bought this at the same time as that watch. Bought at a watch fair here in the UK. £10 from a scrap box! It is a homage to the Omega Dynamic but without the price tag. This is why I bought it, however as of many of my watches it was not running at purchase. Here it is moments after buying.

Crystal looks a bit scratched and cracked but the plated case is surprisingly good. If you know the Omega Dynamic you will see this looks very similar.
This watch was fully wound but no sign of life. As its an all metal movement with no jewels to be found I carried it in my pocket for a day to see if warming it up might just spring it into action but it did not.
I heard an old wives tale on these all metal Timex movements (M24 & M25) that you can remove the hands and dial and clean the movement as one piece. I figured I would try this out and I also made it into a YouTube video. The video shows how I tackle this wash all as one movement. See it here:
As I filmed I did not take any other photos along the way. Lets just say that it threw some challenges my way but the watch cleaned up beautifully. I cleaned the case in an ultrasonic and what I thought were flaked chrome was just dirt. The case was actually in superb condition given its probably been in the sellers scrap box for years.
So here it is, the finished watch back from the dead.
