This is my first birth year watch dating from 1972 and one of the first retro watches I bought and subsequently restored. Actually the one watch that took me down this very deep rabbit hole!
I spent hours with wet & dry paper removing all the heavy scratches. Then using scotchbrite type hand pads to apply a brushed finish to the case top. After that I polished the sides of the case for contrast using a dremel tool. It all turned out well in the end and a replacement crystal finished the look. This watch looks much better on the wrist.

It was two years later before I serviced this watch. In that two years I had learnt how to service a watch and wanted to do this one properly seeing as its was the catalyst for all of my obsession.
