Look at the beautiful blue colouration on this one! This was taking in trade for some work I did on a Seiko. It came as a non runner but then they usually do!
With the back off it was soon apparent that there had been a battery leak and it was still the wet kind. I was able to strip out all of the board and battery contacts and give them a good scrub in IPA / Rubbing alcohol. After I let the parts dry it was simply a case of assembling and installing a battery. The watch started up immediately.
I then gave it all a good clean, removed the bezel to clean all the crap from underneath which is standard practice for me on any watch with a bezel. I gave the case a little restoration. Reapplying some brushing and polishing back the sides to make them nice and bright again.
I looked online to see if there was a possibility of finding a replacement bezel but sadly I cannot find one so for now I will keep it as is. I don’t own all that many analog quartz watches so for now at least this one will be added to the collection.
