This was an awesome find and all completely original! I found it for little money with poor photos and a bit dirty so took a chance.
When it arrived it was much better than anticipated and with a battery installed it was running too. I still decided to give it the full works inside and out.

The movements on these are similar to the Seiko Elnix range in that they are the electronic balance hybrids of the mid 70s, if I am correct it was Citizen who came up with this idea.
The movements are a little more crude than the Seiko and weirdly 36,000 bph highbeats which does not transform into a much smoother tick!

In the photo above you can see a part that says “do not oil” this is a gravity swing arm that is used for quickset the date and day. you have the watch upright and push the crown to change the date and then turn it so 6 is at 12 and press again and it then does the quickset day! this lever swings to engage each function depending on position. A really interesting design.
The dial on this one is quite something, just take a look at this.

The facet crystal hides most of the dials texture but I am a sucker for a facet crystal so I love this one.
I gave the case a light polish to bring back the lustre and gave the original mesh bracelet a real good clean. Here is the end result.
