Here we go down nostalgia street with this classic and original Casio Melody alarm watch from the early 80’s.
I remember these when they came out as I was at school in and around 10 years old. As the digital watch revolution took hold in the 80s especially these were the watches to own. As kids seeing a digital display and using the light was amazing enough but adding an electronic alarm and then a melody was the watch dreams were made of!
I remember kids in my class having one of these, or a similar watch, and setting the alarms and melodies to go off in class to annoy the teachers.
This watch was sent to me in a box of broken watches from a friend. I have probably had it well over a year before noticing what it was and how much of an important digital watch is really is.
Many of these did not survive and this one is no exception as you can see from the photos its in very used condition. It was not working and was being stored in my garage at the time. I brought it into the house and once it had warmed up it started to work but not very well.
Out came the camera as I just had to film this one for everyone who views the video to go down the same memory lane as I have.
