Here is an interesting Ricoh watch. Retro in its looks, housing an in-house and really quite interesting movement.
I bought this one at a watch fair in 2022 and its sat in my to do pile for well over a year before getting around to repairing and restoring it as it was a total non runner.
What caught my eye was the red / maroon dial and the facet crystal. I do love a facet crystal and this one it quite unusual because it is acrylic and the facets are on the inside rather than the outside. Actually is a brilliant idea because nearly all I have seen, mainly Seiko, are hardlex crystal that are usually in terrible condition with chips and scratches being the order of the day. With acrylic you get all the looks with the ability to use polywatch to polish out any scratches easily.

A really interesting movement in this one with many quirky features like this pallet fork!
The whole train of wheels runs on the right hand side of the movement which to me is quite uncommon.
