This is a homage watch from a Chinese company on AliExpress called Pagani Design. They are very good at copying watches from leading brands and making their homage to them. Whilst this is frowned upon by many in this hobby I still own a few homage watches. For me its the only way to get that look without the high price tag attached to them. I don’t see them as fakes as they are not having a copied movement or the original brand on the dials.
This Pagani is a homage to the Omega No Time To Die watch they released to accompany the latest Bond movie still to be released due to the pandemic. The Omega has different hands and a helium escape valve amongst other differences.
Pagani have not copied it completely, I like that its a vintage look but a new watch. The movement is the trusted Seiko NH35, 24 jewel hand wind, hacking and automatic movement with a 41 hour power reserve. These movements in my experience are very reliable and accurate. this one running to within 10 seconds a day.
I opted for the black rubber strap version and also fitted a mesh to it on arrival. The watch cost me £80 in January 2021 in the AliExpress sale. I was feeling flush at the time after doing a lot of service work for others and having the money sitting in my PayPal account. I could not resist.
